Start with a neutral base

When your core pieces (sofa, chairs, etc) are neutral, you have more longevity and flexibility with your look. Layer color on with rugs, pillows,  throws, wall decor and accessories.

This design method allows you to change up your look often without having to invest in new upholstery...win-win :)

Add rugs to define spaces

For a cozy, finished look, add rugs to every room in your home - especially in the dining room where there’s wood on wood.

Skip fussy rugs and instead, go for polypropylene blends that are kid and pet friendly.

Lighting is everything when making a room feel comfortable and cozy.

Overhead lighting can be garish especially at night so make sure you add lamps, floor lamps or even sconces and turn off the canned lights.

The lighting in your home should enhance your decor but also make you feel relaxed.
